After a sellout debut in Melbourne, Kalikah’s “Chop Suey” Performance Project will be heading to Sydney for the inaugural Gothla Open Stage event! Join Kalikah in performing her iconic brand of metal bellydance fusion at Australia’s premiere Alternative & Gothic Community Event.

Format & Delivery
Over 6 weeks, students will learn the Chop Suey choreography via live online classes, with one 2 hour in person session scheduled the day of the performance.
Students will be expected to attend all sessions in order to be eligible to perform. Costuming will be discussed and purchased seperately.
There will be 5x 1hr sessions online and 1x 2hr session in person at Tropical Soul Dance Studios, Annandale. The in person session will be scheduled to run from 10am-12pm on Saturday 21st November.

She’ll give you fuel, give you fire and everything you desire… Kalikah is Adelaide’s hottest metal fusion bellydance artist, a uniquely captivating mistress who expertly combines bellydance artistry, glitter and rock n roll. With her scorching presence and signature heavy metal musicality, she turns up the heat and leaves audiences smouldering. Setting every stage ablaze with a mere flick of her rhinestone encrusted hips, be intoxicated by the primal force of Australia’s goddess of metal and bellydance fusion, Kalikah.
Ever the cabaret chameleon, Kalikah’s roots in classic Egyptian, Turkish and Lebanese style belly dance training makes her a unique and versatile instructor. Her classes are taught with an attention to precise technique and safe dance practice.
Her belly dance style, while technically falls into the Fusion category has a distinctly Egyptian flavour. With some experience in FCBD/ATS style and Global Caravan formats, and influence from Rachel Brice’s Datura format, she has a seamlessly blended style that is uniquely her own.
