What to expect in your first class:
Trying something new can be a bit daunting, but I promise you will have a fantastic time! In our first class I will introduce you to our space, walk you through the studio amenities and of course introduce myself. We will start with a simple warmup and then get straight into dancing. I promise by the end of your first class you’ll have learned a shimmy!
What do I wear?
Belly dance is all about exploring movement comfortably. Wear clothes that are easy to move in and breathable. Leggings, wide legged pants or a long skirt is fine. You can choose to show your belly with a crop top or sports bra but this isn’t compulsory.
Typically we train bellydance with bare feet but if you are more comfortable in dance shoes or jiffies/socks please bring them just in case. I will have hip scarves available to borrow for class, but if you have one of your own feel free to bring it along.
